S.C. Pannell Grenache Shiraz Touriga from McLaren Vale, Australia, is a vibrant Red still dry wine crafted from a blend of Grenache, Shiraz, and Touriga grapes. The Grenache and Shiraz were co-fermented, then matured in French oak puncheon and stainless steel, with the Touriga fermented separately before similar maturation, resulting in a wine bottled without fining or filtration. It offers a fresh and lifted aromatic profile, bursting with notes of raspberry, cherry, blueberry, and dark chocolate, complemented by panettone hints. The palate is fruit-driven with a silky texture, soft, supple tannins, and racy acidity, leading to a long, complex finish. This versatile wine pairs wonderfully with roasted lamb or mature hard cheeses.
75.0CL , 14.5% ABV
The Grenache and Shiraz grapes were crushed and co-fermented, spending approximately 10 days on skins before gentle pressing. The Grenache-Shiraz blend was sent to French oak puncheon for maloactic fermentation before maturation in stainless steel vats. The Touriga was picked later, and then it was crushed and fermented in stainless steel with daily pump overs before pressing. It was then sent to puncheon for malolactic fermentation and maturation. The wine was blended and then bottled without fining or filtration.
This vibrant red blend offers a fresh and lifted aromatic profile, bursting with notes of raspberry, cherry, and blueberry, complemented by hints of dark chocolate and panettone. On the palate, it delivers a fruit-driven experience with a silky texture and soft, supple tannins, leading to a long, complex finish.
