A vibrant red wine with raspberry liqueur, red apple, and fine tea-like tannins, perfect for youthful enjoyment
S.C. Pannell's `Basso` McLaren Vale Garnacha from Australia is a vibrant, still red wine crafted for youthful enjoyment. This dry expression of Garnacha (also known as Grenache) is unfiltered and made with low sulphur, aged for ten months in large, old French oak vats. It offers a seductive perfume of raspberry liqueur, red apple skin, dark spice, and cinnamon, leading to a palate bursting with fresh blue and red berry fruit. Youthful and medium-bodied, it features super fine, tea-like tannins that carry red fruits on the finish. A versatile choice, it pairs wonderfully with lamb, pork, or mild cheeses.
