Poggiotondo `Terre di Cresci` Organic Chianti Classico, from Chianti Classico DOCG in Montefioralle, Italy, is a vibrant and complex red (still) wine. This dry, certified organic, vegan, and vegetarian wine is crafted from Sangiovese, Canaiolo, and Colorino grapes. Fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and aged for 18 months in untoasted oak casks, it offers an elegant bouquet of black cherry, raspberry, sweet spices, and floral perfumes. The palate reveals a core of ripe black fruit with juicy tannins, providing a smooth texture and a refined, persistent finish. It pairs beautifully with rich pasta dishes or mature cheeses.
75.0CL , 14.5% ABV
The grapes were hand harvested before going through a second selection in the winery ahead of destemming. A gentle crushing took place prior to fermentation which took place in stainless steel tanks using indigenous yeasts. Short pumping over was carried out for two weeks to avoid over extraction, the skins were then gently pressed to extract the juice. The must was then racked into 30 hectolitre untoasted casks where it underwent malolactic fermentation. The wine was aged for 18 months in the same casks in order to preserve the fresh fruit characteristics in the finished wine.
This refined Chianti Classico offers an elegant bouquet of black cherry, raspberry, sweet spices, and floral perfumes. On the palate, it delivers a core of ripe black fruit with juicy tannins, leading to a smooth texture and a clean, persistent finish.
