Matthieu Barret's 'Petit Ours' Côtes-du-Rhône from France is a vibrant Red still wine crafted entirely from Syrah. This dry wine is made using hand-harvested grapes, destemmed and fermented with indigenous yeasts in concrete vats, then aged for eight months in concrete to preserve its purity. It offers an expressive nose of blackberry and black cherry, leading to a palate defined by smooth, well-integrated tannins, juicy black fruit, and a hint of black pepper spice on the finish. A versatile choice, it pairs wonderfully with roasted meats or mature cheeses.
75.0CL , 13.5% ABV
The grapes were hand harvested, destemmed and gently pressed before being allowed to settle for 18 hours at a low temperature. Fermentation took place using indigenous yeasts in stainless-steel tanks. After two weeks of fermentation, the wine was aged for 10 months in stainless-steel vats to preserve its freshness and purity of fruit.
