Mandrarossa Grillo from Sicily, Italy, is a delightful still white wine. Hailing from the sun-drenched vineyards of southwestern Sicily, this dry white is crafted from 100% Grillo grapes, grown on sandy soils close to the sea. The wine undergoes fermentation in stainless-steel tanks, preserving its vibrant character before three months of bottle ageing. It offers inviting aromas of grapefruit, white peach, and a hint of basil, leading to a fresh and intense palate bursting with bright citrus and stone fruit. This versatile wine pairs beautifully with lean fish, shellfish, or light pasta dishes, making it a perfect choice for a refreshing experience.
75.0CL , 13.0% ABV
The grapes were crushed and destemmed before being immediately cooled to 5-8°C and maintained at these temperatures for four to six hours. The resulting must was then softly pressed and the juice obtained was clarified at low temperatures for 36 hours. The clear must was fermented in stainless-steel tanks for 15-20 days at temperatures of 16-18°C. The wine was aged for three months in the bottle before release.
This pale straw yellow Grillo offers inviting aromas of vibrant grapefruit, white peach, and a hint of fresh basil. The palate is fresh and intense, bursting with bright citrus and stone fruit characters that lead to a persistent finish.
Serve chilled at 10-12°C. Enjoy this fresh white wine young for optimal flavour.
