Familia Castaño `Hécula` Organic Monastrell Yecla DO, Yecla, Murcia, Spain is a rich, dry Red wine crafted from 100% Monastrell grapes. This still wine offers vibrant aromas of ripe red cherries, plums, and blueberries, complemented by subtle toasted notes from its six months of ageing in French and American oak barrels. The palate reveals succulent ripe black fruit, raspberry, vanilla, and cacao, with sweet spice, liquorice, and supple ripe tannins. Certified organic, vegan, and vegetarian, it pairs beautifully with roasted meats, hearty stews, or mature cheeses.

Vinification
The organic Monastrell grapes were harvested by hand and selected on a sorting table upon arrival at the winery. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks for 8-10 days at 24-26°C. The wine was then aged for six months in French and American oak barrels prior to blending and bottling.
