Blank Canvas Anandale Farm Marlborough Riesling from Marlborough, New Zealand is a vibrant White semi-sweet wine, crafted in a Kabinett style from the cool Blind River subregion. Inspired by German Prädikatswein, hand-harvested Riesling grapes are whole-bunch pressed and fermented in stainless steel, with fermentation arrested to achieve its desired balance. It brims with clear notes of old-fashioned lemonade, key lime, and honeysuckle, offering a delightful flush of sweetness beautifully balanced by zesty acidity. This versatile wine pairs wonderfully with light, aromatic dishes or as a refreshing aperitif.
75.0CL , 9.0% ABV
The grapes were hand-harvested in March and were whole-bunch pressed with the free-run juice directed to one small tank. The juice was settled naturally over 48 hours before fermenting in stainless steel at cool temperatures. With minimal intervention throughout, the wine was arrested by chilling at ~9.5% alcohol content to obtain the desired balance. The wine was gently crossflow filtered and bottled in June.
This semi-sweet White Riesling offers a vibrant profile, brimming with clear notes of old-fashioned lemonade, key lime, and honeysuckle. A delightful flush of sweetness on the palate is beautifully balanced by zesty acidity, leading to a long and satisfying finish.
Serve chilled at 8-10°C to best enjoy its vibrant fruit and zesty acidity.
