Azamor `Selected Vines` Alentejano Vinho Regional from Alentejo, Portugal, is a captivating dry Red wine (still) crafted from a blend of Syrah, Touriga Franca, and Alicante Bouschet. This wine is aged for 12 months in a combination of French and American oak, imparting a subtle smoky character. It presents rich aromas of plums and black cherries, leading to a fruit-forward palate with vibrant fruit and well-rounded, velvety tannins. A truly elegant and concentrated wine, it pairs beautifully with roasted red meats or mature cheeses. This wine is also suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
75.0CL , 14.0% ABV
Upon arrival at the winery, each of the grape varieties was fermented separately in stainless steel 10 tanks for up to 10 days at temperatures of 22°C-24°C using only indigenous yeasts. Post malolactic fermentation, the wine was aged in a combination of French (15%) and American (15%) oak barrels, and the remainder in stainless steel. The wine was blended in November 2021 and bottled the following month.
The wine offers a rich and fruit-forward experience, showcasing vibrant black fruit notes of plum and black cherry. It is beautifully structured with well-rounded, silky tannins, complemented by a subtle smoky character from oak aging.
Serve at 16-18°C; decanting for 30-60 minutes will enhance its complex flavours.
