Vigneti del Vulture `Piano del Cerro` Aglianico del Vulture DOC, from the Aglianico del Vulture region of Italy, is a still, dry Red wine crafted from 80-year-old Aglianico vines on volcanic soils. Fermented in small oak vats and aged for 24 months in new barriques, this vegan and vegetarian-friendly wine offers a captivating bouquet of blueberry, cherry, vanilla, and oak spice. The palate is rich with vibrant fruit characteristics and refined, grippy tannins, complemented by a cedary dimension. It pairs beautifully with robust dishes such as roasted lamb or mature cheeses.

Vinification
The grapes were put through double selection prior to arriving at the winery. Fermentation took place in small oak vats, with maceration lasting for 25-30 days and manual pump overs taking place every six hours. The wine then spent 24 months in new barriques, where malolactic fermentation took place ahead of bottling.

Serve at 16-18°C. Decant for an hour to allow its complex aromas to unfold.
