Proprietà Sperino `Rosa del Rosa` Rosato Coste della Sesia DOC, Piemonte, Italy, is a still, dry Rosé wine crafted from Nebbiolo and Vespolina grapes. The grapes undergo a brief four-hour skin maceration and spend five months on lees, contributing to its character. It presents a mineral and savoury profile, with enticing aromas of ginger and pine. The palate is graced with a sweetness of orchard fruits, bright lemon, and ripe melon, all underpinned by a refreshing, juicy acidity. A versatile choice, it pairs wonderfully with light appetizers or poultry. This wine is vegan and vegetarian-friendly.
75.0CL , 12.5% ABV
The grapes were picked by hand into small boxes. Once at the winery, they were carefully sorted on a conveyor belt to ensure that only those in pristine condition made it into the wine. The grapes were then destemmed and gently pressed with around four hours of skin maceration. The wine then spent five months on lees before bottling began in early February. Some further ageing took place in the bottle.
This Nebbiolo Rosé offers a mineral and savoury character, with distinct aromas of ginger and pine. On the palate, it reveals a delightful sweetness of orchard fruits, bright lemon, and ripe melon, all balanced by a refreshing, juicy acidity that leads to an impressive length.
Serve chilled at 10-12°C. No decanting required, best enjoyed young and fresh.
