Pacheco Pereda `Estirpe` Organic Fairtrade Chardonnay from Alto Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, Argentina, is a vibrant still white wine. This dry Chardonnay, made from organically certified grapes, offers fresh tropical fruit and bright citrus aromas, leading to a palate complemented by mineral notes and a subtle, buttery texture. Fermented in stainless steel with 20% aged in French oak barrels and foudres for added body, it culminates in a long, fresh, and round finish. This vegan and vegetarian-friendly wine pairs beautifully with poultry, lean fish, shellfish, or mild cheeses.
75.0CL , 12.5% ABV
Fermentation was carried out between 14-16 degrees for 21 days. No malolactic fermentation took place, however 20% of the wine was aged in 500L French oak barrels and 3,500L foudres for four months, to add both texture and body to the wine.
This vibrant Chardonnay offers an inviting bouquet of fresh tropical fruit and bright citrus aromas. On the palate, it is complemented by distinct mineral notes and a subtle, buttery texture, leading to a long, fresh, and round finish. The wine's character is enhanced by a period of ageing in French oak.
Serve chilled at 12-14°C to best enjoy its fresh fruit and subtle texture.
