MMAD Vineyard Blewitt Springs Chenin Blanc from Blewitt Springs, McLaren Vale, Australia, is a captivating dry white still wine crafted from old vine Chenin Blanc. Half of the fruit was fermented in concrete, the other half whole bunch pressed and fermented in large old oak barrels, followed by malolactic fermentation and 12 months maturation in old oak. This beautifully expressive wine offers an arresting texture and bright, lively acidity, with an array of characters including citrus peel, kumquat, wet stone, and a hint of sea-spray. It is vegan and vegetarian friendly and promises exciting ageing potential. A versatile choice, it pairs wonderfully with lean fish or poultry.

Vinification
The fruit was hand-picked. Half of the fruit was crushed and fermented in concrete while the remaining 50% was whole bunch pressed and fermented in large old oak barrels. Full malolactic fermentation took place and the wine spent 12 months maturing in old oak before bottling.
