Jean-Marc Burgaud Morgon Corceletteis a still dry red French wine crafted from 100% Gamay grapes. This elegant expression undergoes 100% whole-bunch fermentation in concrete tanks, with no pre-fermentation maceration and is unoaked, preserving its vibrant fruit character. It presents an intense and complex nose of sour cherries and blackcurrants with savoury hints. The palate is powerful yet elegant, featuring fine-grained tannins, lifted acidity, and intense fruit flavours that lead to a lingering, supple finish, reflecting its pink granite and stony soils. This versatile wine pairs beautifully with poultry, cured meats, and mild cheeses.
75.0CL , 13.0% ABV
Upon arrival at the winery, the Gamay underwent 100% whole-bunch fermentation in concrete tanks. Jean-Marc does not carry out pre-fermentation maceration on any of his wines and instead commences the fermentation straight away. The ferment lasted for around 15 days at 23 to 28°C with one pump over per day. Unoaked, the wine remained in concrete until bottling.
This deep ruby Gamay offers an intense and complex aroma profile of sour cherries and blackcurrants, subtly interwoven with savoury undertones. The palate is powerful yet elegant, showcasing fine-grained tannins and a lifted acidity that beautifully carries the intense fruit flavours through to a lingering, supple finish.
Serve lightly chilled at 12-14°C. No decanting needed, but a short aeration can enhance aromas.
