Herdade do Peso `Trinca Bolotas` Alentejo DOC, Alentejo, Portugal. This vibrant Red still wine is a dry, unoaked blend of Touriga Nacional, Aragonez, and Alicante Bouschet. Named 'acorn muncher' after the Iberian black pigs, it is fermented and aged in stainless steel to preserve its fresh fruit character. It bursts with ripe and juicy blackberry, black cherry, and plum flavours, complemented by generous aromas of strawberries and raspberries. The palate is vibrant and supple with elegant tannins, balanced acidity, and a lovely fresh finish. This vegan and vegetarian-friendly wine pairs wonderfully with pork, lamb, and poultry.

Vinification
Upon arrival at the winery, the Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet and Aragonês grapes were destemmed and underwent a soft crushing followed by a 3-4 day maceration. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks, at a controlled temperature of 26°C and with gentle pumping over. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was racked off the skins and aged in stainless steel.
