An opulent off-dry White wine with lush spiced quince, lychee, and a twist of lemon zest
Pickup currently not available
Greywacke Marlborough Pinot Gris from New Zealand is an opulent, off-dry White still wine crafted from hand-picked Pinot Gris grapes. Aromas of sweet golden pears, juicy figs, dried apricots and poached nectarines mingle with chamomile flower. The palate is inviting and lush, revealing flavours of spiced quince, rock melon and lychee, brightened by a twist of lemon zest. Fermented predominantly with indigenous yeasts in old French oak barriques, this wine offers considerable depth and a beautifully textured finish. It pairs wonderfully with poultry or mild and soft cheeses.
75.0CL , 14.0% ABV
All grapes were hand-picked at high ripeness levels and whole-bunch pressed using low maceration press cycles. The resulting juice was cold-settled, then racked to fermentation vessels. Most of the juice went through an indigenous yeast fermentation in old French oak barriques and the balance was fermented in stainless steel using cultured yeast. Toward the end of ferment, all the wine was transferred to stainless steel tanks, where fermentation was stopped. The blended wine was then filled into old barrels, where it remained on yeast lees for a further few months, prior to bottling.
This opulent, off-dry white wine presents an inviting bouquet of sweet golden pears, juicy figs, dried apricots, and poached nectarines, complemented by delicate chamomile flower notes. The palate is lush and expressive, featuring flavours of spiced quince, rock melon, and lychee, all brightened by a refreshing twist of lemon zest.
Serve chilled at 12-14°C to best enjoy its aromatic complexity and lush palate.
