Goats do Roam `Goats do Roam` Red from Western Cape, South Africa, is a captivating still, dry red wine (or ruby red) crafted from a Rhône-style blend of Shiraz, Mourvèdre, Grenache, Cinsault, Petite Sirah, Carignan, and Tempranillo. The grapes are destemmed and lightly crushed, fermented separately in stainless-steel tanks with Rhône yeasts, undergoing pump-overs for tannic structure. After malolactic fermentation, it matures in tanks and barrels. This wine offers a youthful and layered palate, bursting with generous berry flavours like juicy red cherries, wild berries, and plums, complemented by warming spices and subtle oak nuances, culminating in a long, fresh finish. It is a versatile choice, pairing wonderfully with beef, lamb, or mature cheeses. This wine is also suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
75.0CL , 13.5% ABV
The grapes were destemmed and lightly crushed into stainless-steel tanks. The must was inoculated with Rhône yeasts and pump-overs were carried out up to four times a day during fermentation to enhance the tannic structure of this wine. Each variety was fermented separately. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine was racked to tanks and barrels for malolactic fermentation. It was then matured in a combination of tanks and barrels prior to blending and bottling.
This Rhône-style red blend offers a youthful and layered palate, bursting with generous berry flavours like juicy red cherries, wild berries, and plums, complemented by warming spices and subtle oak nuances. It culminates in a long and fresh finish.
