Excelsior Sauvignon Blanc from Robertson, South Africa, is a classic still White (Blanc) wine, dry and vibrant. The De Wet family, owners since 1859, hand-harvest Sauvignon Blanc grapes for this wine, which undergoes cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks and two months on its lees for added richness and texture. It offers concentrated aromas of passion fruit, grapefruit, fig, and fresh herb characteristics, leading to a palate full of tropical fruit with bright, zesty acidity. This fresh, fruity wine is versatile and meant for drinking young, with or without food. The estate holds Integrity and Sustainability Certification.

Grapes were harvested by hand during the coolest part of the day for greater quality control. Skin contact was maintained for three hours, after which the grapes were carefully pressed in order to avoid any bitter phenolics. The wine was then cold fermented for three weeks at temperatures of12-15°C. The wine was then matured on the lees for two months prior to bottling.
This classic South African Sauvignon Blanc offers a vibrant and zesty experience. It presents concentrated aromas of passion fruit, grapefruit, fig, and fresh herbs, leading to a palate brimming with tropical fruit and bright, refreshing acidity.
Serve chilled at 8-10°C. Best enjoyed young; no decanting required.
