Domaines de Lamy `Les Tapisseries` Pays d'Oc IGP, France, is a vibrant still Red wine (Rouge) that is dry and approachable. Crafted from a blend of Carignan, Grenache, Syrah, and Alicante Bouschet, the grapes are night harvested and fermented in stainless steel, followed by malolactic fermentation and brief ageing to preserve its fresh character. It presents a garnet red colour with purple tones, offering bright aromas of red fruits married with a subtle spiciness. The palate is vibrant and juicy with smooth, well-integrated tannins. This versatile wine pairs wonderfully with roasted poultry or a rich pasta dish.
75.0CL , 13.5% ABV
The wine is a blend of 50% Carignan, 20% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Alicante Bouschet. The grapes are night harvested and immediately destemmed upon arrival at the winery before undergoing gentle crushing. Fermentation in stainless steel takes place at 28°C and lasts for 8 days with daily pumping over. After 12 days of skin-contact, the wine is pressed and then undergoes malolactic fermentation and a brief period of ageing in stainless steel before bottling.
This vibrant red wine offers bright aromas of red fruits, complemented by a subtle spiciness. On the palate, it is juicy and lively, with smooth tannins providing a harmonious finish.
Serve at 12-14°C; no decanting required for this vibrant, fruit-forward red.
