Domaine Joël Delaunay Touraine Gamay Touraine AOC, France, offers a vibrant Red (still) wine that is delightfully dry. Crafted from Gamay grapes, this wine undergoes a semi-carbonic maceration in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation and ageing on fine lees, enhancing its natural aromatics. It brims with aromas of fresh raspberry, ripe cherries, and plums, complemented by delicate floral notes. On the palate, expect a soft texture with round tannins and a hint of spice, leading to a fresh finish. This versatile wine pairs wonderfully with charcuterie, poultry, or mild cheeses.

Vinification

Fermentation began with a semi-carbonic maceration of the bunches which lasted for a period of eight days. This occurred at 24°C with one gentle pump over of the juice. It was then pressed using a pneumatic press, before it underwent malolactic fermentation at a controlled temperature of 22°C. The wine was aged on its fine lees, and then cross-filtered prior to bottling.

This vibrant red Gamay offers an inviting bouquet of fresh raspberry, ripe cherries, and plums, intertwined with delicate floral notes. On the palate, it delivers a soft texture with round tannins and a hint of spice, culminating in a fresh and appealing finish.
