Domaine de Castelnau Garenne Syrah Pays d'Oc IGP, France, is a vibrant Red still dry wine crafted from 100% Syrah grapes. The vinification process involves mechanical night harvesting to preserve freshness, followed by destemming, gentle crushing, and a three-week maceration in stainless steel tanks. This meticulous approach results in a wine defined by bright black fruit, complemented by intriguing hints of liquorice and a touch of black pepper. Its lifted acidity and ripe, supple tannins create a beautifully balanced and approachable palate, making it an excellent companion for roasted lamb or mature hard cheeses.

Vinification
Grapes are mechanically harvested at night to retain freshness and minimise phenolics in the wines before fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. The Syrah is destemmed and gently crushed before fermentation and a three-week maceration in stainless steel.
