Château Fontarèche Tradition Rouge Corbières AOC from Corbières, France, is a captivating still red wine (rouge) that is wonderfully dry. This expressive blend of Carignan, Grenache Noir, and Syrah undergoes fermentation and ageing in stainless steel tanks to preserve its vibrant, primary fruit characters. It boasts an expressive red fruit character with notes of ripe strawberries, red cherries, and redcurrants, complemented by subtle spicy notes. The palate offers dynamic aromatic freshness, structured around refined tannins and ripe red fruit flavours, supported by a refreshing acidity. This versatile wine pairs beautifully with roasted meats or mature cheeses.

Vinification
All varieties were destemmed and lightly crushed before undergoing fermentation at a controlled temperature for roughly 10 days, with one daily pump over performed to achieve maximum colour and flavour extraction. Rack and return was performed once at the end of fermentation to completely dissolve the cap and soften the tannins. The wine then underwent malolactic fermentation and ageing in stainless-steel tanks in order to preserve the vibrant, primary fruit characters.

This vibrant red wine offers an expressive bouquet of ripe strawberries, red cherries, and redcurrants, subtly intertwined with spicy notes. On the palate, it delivers dynamic aromatic freshness and ripe red fruit flavours, structured by refined tannins and refreshing acidity.
Serving recommendation
Serve at 16-18°C, decanting for 30 minutes to enhance its expressive fruit and soften tannins.
