Château de Pierreux Brouilly
A robust Red wine with intense red fruit, a rounded texture, and a versatile food pairing
Château de Pierreux Brouilly, France, is a robust and concentrated still Red wine crafted from 40-45 year old bush vine Gamay. This dry wine, from an estate acknowledged as one of Beaujolais’ finest, benefits from minimal intervention winemaking, including gentle foot crushing and fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Aged for six months in used oak foudres, it develops a lovely texture and roundness, complementing its intense red fruit aromas and deep, fruity palate. It pairs beautifully with poultry, pork, and mild cheeses. The estate is farmed according to organic and biodynamic principles, though uncertified.
