Ata Rangi `Crimson` Martinborough, New Zealand is a captivating Red (still) wine, dry and crafted from 100% Pinot Noir grapes. Hand-picked with a portion of whole bunch, it undergoes natural yeast fermentation in open-top stainless-steel tanks before ageing for 12 months in oak barrels, 20% new. This elegant wine offers a perfumed nose of rose petal, pomegranate, and wild strawberry, complemented by savoury notes of star anise and fresh thyme. The palate is delicate with a light structure, gentle yet sustained tannins, and supple acidity, leading to a long finish. A versatile choice, it pairs beautifully with poultry, mushrooms, or mild cheeses. This wine is suitable for vegetarians.

Vinification
The grapes were hand picked, with 90% destemmed and 10% whole bunch. Pre-fermentation maceration lasted between two and six days. The must was inoculated with 100% natural yeasts and fermentation lasted two to three weeks in open top stainless-steel tanks, with hand-plunging throughout. The wine was racked into oak barrels, of which 20% were new, where it remained for a further 12 months after malolactic fermentation until bottling.
