A Mano Susumaniello from Puglia, Italy, is a deep, inky purple-black still Red wine, crafted from the rare and ancient Susumaniello grape. This dry, full-bodied wine offers intense aromas of blackberry, blueberry, chocolate, violets, and Mediterranean herbs. The grapes are carefully cold fermented in stainless-steel tanks with very gentle pump-overs to avoid over-extraction of aggressive tannins, resulting in a beautifully structured wine with powerful yet fine tannins and a fantastic freshness that carries through to a persistent finish. It pairs wonderfully with rich pasta dishes, beef, lamb, or mature cheeses, making it a versatile choice for many occasions.
75.0CL , 13.0% ABV
The Susumaniello grapes were rigorously sorted to ensure only those in pristine condition were vinified. Once at the winery, they were sorted again and cold fermented in stainless-steel tanks with very gentle pump-overs, to avoid over-extraction of the aggressive tannins. Following fermentation, the final blend was bottled without fining.
This full-bodied red wine from Puglia offers an intense aromatic experience, showcasing deep blackberry, blueberry, and chocolate notes, beautifully complemented by hints of violets and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it reveals a well-structured profile with powerful yet fine tannins and a fantastic freshness that leads to a persistent finish.
Serve at 16-18°C. Decant for 1 hour to allow its complex aromas to fully develop.
