A captivating red wine blending Gamay and Vranac, offering dark cherry, liquorice, and earthy notes
Pickup currently not available
Dalia `Splet` Gamay/Vranac from the Negotin Valley, Eastern Serbia, is a captivating red wine. This dry, still blend of Gamay and the black-skinned Vranac undergoes two weeks of pre-fermentation maceration and 10 months of ageing in used Serbian and French oak barrels. The result is a medium-bodied wine with elegant acidity and fine tannins, offering notes of dark cherry, liquorice, and a subtle, earthy finish. It pairs wonderfully with red meats or mature cheeses. This wine is also vegan, vegetarian, and crafted with a natural, minimal-intervention approach.
75.0CL , 14.0% ABV
The grapes were handpicked, allowing for careful selection in the vineyard. After arrival at the winery, the grapes were destemmed and crushed, and underwent two weeks of pre-fermentation maceration to enhance the red fruit aromatics. Fermentation took place with indigenous yeasts in open top stainless-steel tanks. The wine was then aged in old Serbian and French 225 litres oak barrels for 10 months prior to bottling without fining or filtration.
This captivating red wine, a blend of Gamay and Vranac, offers a medium-bodied experience with elegant acidity and fine tannins. It presents a delightful aromatic and tasting profile of dark cherry and liquorice, culminating in a subtle, earthy finish.
Serve at 16-18°C, decanting for 30 minutes to allow its complex aromas to unfold.
