Quinta do Infantado Douro Tinto Douro DOC, Douro, Portugal, is a captivating Red still dry wine crafted from Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional, and Touriga Franca grapes. The vinification process involves traditional foot-treading in lagares and ageing a proportion in oak barrels, with the final blend bottled without fining or filtration. It offers intense aromas of raspberries, ripe plums, blueberries, and cloves. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with smooth, ripe tannins, juicy black fruit flavours, and a long, succulent finish. This vegan and vegetarian-friendly wine pairs beautifully with roasted meats and mature cheeses.
75.0CL , 12.5% ABV
Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes were partially destemmed before being trodden by foot in traditional lagares, a hallmark of the Quinta do Infantado wines. Malolactic fermentation took place in tank, after which a proportion of the wine was aged in oak barrels of various sizes and ages. The remainder was kept in stainless-steel tanks before the final blend was assembled and bottled, without fining or filtration.
