Pacheco Pereda `Linaje` Organic Malbec from Luján de Cuyo, Argentina, is a still, dry Red wine made from 100% Malbec grapes. Fermented in stainless steel, this wine is then aged for 14 months in a mixture of used French oak foudres and 3,000-litre concrete eggs, allowing for a complex evolution. It presents intense aromas of violets, red berries, and plums, alongside spices and a balsamic character. The palate is rich with red fruit, plum, and spice notes, structured by velvety tannins and a persistent finish. This versatile wine pairs wonderfully with grilled meats or mature cheeses. Certified organic, this wine is also suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
75.0CL , 14.5% ABV
Following harvest, the fruit went through cold maceration for 48 hours. Fermentation took place at 25-28°C for 10 days, and malolactic fermentation also occurred. Afterwards, the blend was aged in 5000 litre French oak foudres and 3000 litre concrete eggs for 14 months.
This Malbec offers intense aromas of violets, red berries, and plums, complemented by a spicy and balsamic character. The palate reveals complex notes of red fruit and plum with a hint of spice, all supported by velvety tannins and a persistent, fresh finish.
Serve at 16-18°C; decanting for 30 minutes before serving will enhance its complexity.
