Laroche La Chevalière Chardonnay Pays d'Oc IGP, France, is a vibrant White still dry wine crafted from 100% Chardonnay grapes. Inspired by Chablis, this unoaked expression is fermented in stainless steel, with malolactic fermentation blocked to preserve its vibrant freshness and purity. It spent six months on fine lees, adding richness. The wine offers an expressive nose of citrus, white stone fruits, and tropical notes, leading to a palate of bright, ripe fruit with excellent acidity and minerality. This versatile wine pairs beautifully with lean fish, poultry, and mild cheeses.
75.0CL , 13.0% ABV
Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes were whole bunch pressed and then the juice settled for 24 hours at temperatures of 12-15°C. Fermentation was carried out in stainless-steel tanks at 15°C for 12 days. Selected yeasts which maximise the fine, elegant aromas of Chardonnay were used for the ferment. Malolactic fermentation was blocked in order to preserve the wine's vibrant freshness. Unoaked, the wine spent six months in stainless steel on the fine lees to retain the purity and add richness.
This unoaked Chardonnay offers an expressive nose brimming with vibrant citrus, white stone fruits, and subtle tropical notes. On the palate, it delivers bright, ripe fruit flavours, balanced by excellent acidity and a persistent, mineral-driven finish.
Serve chilled at 10-12°C to best enjoy its vibrant freshness and fruit character.
