Gabriëlskloof `Rosebud` from Bot River, South Africa, is a vibrant still Rosé wine crafted from Syrah grapes. This dry wine is made from handpicked, whole bunch pressed grapes, fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured on lees in stainless steel, resulting in a refreshing and balanced profile. It offers delightful aromas of wild strawberry, rhubarb, and quince, with a palate showcasing red apple skin notes, bright acidity, and a rounded mouthfeel. This versatile Rosé pairs beautifully with poultry, lean fish, or a variety of appetizers.

Vinification

The Syrah grapes for this wine were handpicked and cooled overnight. They were then whole bunch pressed with a short maceration to achieve a light colour. The must was fermented with indigenous yeasts and placed in stainless steel tanks to mature on lees for a few months. The wine was then gently filtered before bottling.
