Finca Museum `Museum` Reserva Cigales DO, Spain, is a deep ruby red, still dry wine crafted primarily from Tinta del País (Tempranillo) grapes. This rich and complex red undergoes 12 months ageing in new French oak, followed by a further 12 months in bottle, developing intense flavours of blackcurrant, liquorice, and roasted hazelnuts. Its concentrated fruit and savoury spice notes are a testament to the low-yielding, high-elevation bush vines. This elegant wine pairs beautifully with roasted meats or mature cheeses.
75.0CL , 14.5% ABV
The grapes were hand-picked into crates, sorted on selection tables, then de-stalked and transferred to 15,000 kg stainless steel vats for fermentation at 25°C. After daily monitoring through temperature control, analysis, pumping over, and tasting, the wine was de-vatted after 21 days to achieve maximum extraction of flavour and colour. The wine then aged 14 months in French barrels before bottling. Following bottling, it matured an additional 12 months in temperature-controlled cellars before release.
This deep ruby red wine offers a rich and complex experience, with prominent aromas of red berries, blackcurrants, and cranberries. On the palate, these fruit notes are beautifully complemented by savoury spice, liquorice, and a lingering finish of roasted hazelnut.
Serve at 16-18°C; decant for an hour before serving to enhance complexity.
