Famille Perrin ‘Les Crus’, Vinsobres ‘Les Cornuds’ from Vinsobres, France, is a captivating dry Red still wine, meticulously crafted from a blend of Syrah and Grenache grapes. This wine undergoes a year of ageing in oak vats, foudres, and barrels, which contributes to its remarkable depth. It unveils a complex aromatic profile of ripe blackberry, blackcurrant, and violet, beautifully complemented by hints of liquorice, cloves, and toasted oak. On the palate, it delivers vibrant fresh cherry fruit, culminating in a lengthy and satisfying mouth-coating finish. This full-bodied and poised expression is an excellent choice for pairing with rich roasted meats, hearty stews, or a selection of mature cheeses.
75.0CL , 14.5% ABV
Once arrived at the winery, the hand-harvested grapes were sorted, crushed and transferred to oak vats. A long, slow fermentation took place with regular punch downs, to maximise the extraction of the aromas and flavours of each variety. Following this, the wine underwent an extended period of maceration on the skins to soften and refine the tannins before being blended and racked to oak foudres and barrels, where it was aged for a year prior to bottling and release.
This full-bodied Red wine from Famille Perrin presents a complex aromatic profile of ripe blackberry, blackcurrant, and violet, enhanced by hints of liquorice, cloves, and toasted oak. The palate offers vibrant fresh cherry fruit, culminating in a lengthy and mouth-coating finish, characteristic of its Syrah and Grenache blend.
