El Coto Rosado Rioja DOCa, Rioja, Spain, is a delightful Still Rosé (pink) wine, crafted dry from a scented blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Garnacha. The grapes were carefully protected from oxidation with carbonic gas and instantly chilled before pressing, with fermentation at very low temperatures to preserve delicate aromas. This process, avoiding malolactic fermentation, ensures a vibrant fruit profile. On the nose, it bursts with fresh strawberries, ripe raspberries, and candied cherry, complemented by subtle caramel notes. The palate is fresh, offering lively acidity and a clean, crisp finish. This versatile wine is perfect as an aperitif or paired with light poultry dishes.

At the winery the grapes were covered with a curtain of carbonic gas which protected them from any oxidation. This same gas was used for instant chilling of the grapes prior to pressing. This wine was produced in part through the bleeding of the free-run juice from the grapes in the winery and in part through the cold maceration and subsequent pressing. In both cases, the must obtained was racked for cleaning before fermentation. The fermentation was carried out with select yeasts, at a very low temperature to promote the generation of delicate aromas such as fresh strawberries. The wine did not go through malolactic fermentation, to preserve its vibrant fruit profile.
This Rosé offers a delightful bouquet of fresh strawberries, ripe raspberries, and candied cherry, complemented by subtle notes of caramel. The palate is equally vibrant, delivering a fresh, fruity experience with a lively acidity and a clean, crisp finish.
Serve chilled at 8-10°C to best enjoy its vibrant fruit and crisp finish. No decanting required.
