Cantina di Custoza `Custodia` Custoza DOC from Custoza, Italy, is a still, dry white wine crafted from a blend of Trebbiano, Garganega, Incrocio Manzoni, Friulano, and Cortese grapes. After gentle pressing and fermentation in stainless steel, this Superiore expression undergoes a short period of ageing in small French oak barrels, imparting a more structured profile. It offers a complex bouquet of ripe stone fruit, delicate floral notes, and a subtle hint of vanilla. On the palate, it presents a rich texture with refreshing acidity and added depth. This versatile wine pairs beautifully with poultry, rich fish, pasta dishes, or mild cheeses.
75.0CL , 13.5% ABV
The Custoza DOC wine is always made from a blend of these varieties, which are picked and crushed separately. After soft pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation, the wine is racked and prepared for early bottling to preserve its fresh and delicate aromatics, a hallmark of white wines from this area. The Superiore is made from a selection of the best naturally lower-yielding parcels. After a brief maceration, the selected grapes are gently pressed and fermented at a controlled temperature in stainless steel. The wine is bottled in early spring after a short period ageing in small, French oak barrels.
This structured white wine, aged in French oak, offers a complex bouquet of ripe stone fruit and delicate floral notes, complemented by a subtle hint of vanilla. On the palate, it presents a rich texture with refreshing acidity and a long, satisfying finish.
Serve chilled at 10-12°C. A brief aeration can enhance its complex aromas.
