Azamor Vinho Regional Alentejano Tinto from Alentejo, Portugal, is a bold yet refined still red wine, crafted dry from a blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Trincadeira, Syrah, Alicante Bouschet, Petit Verdot, and Merlot. Vinified with cold maceration and malolactic fermentation, it was aged for seven months, with 20% in French and American oak barrels. This beautifully aromatic wine offers a lush, deep red fruit perfume, leading to a well-rounded palate with sumptuous soft fruit flavours and a long finish supported by ripe tannins. It pairs wonderfully with roasted meats or mature cheeses. This wine is also suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
75.0CL , 14.0% ABV
All grape varieties were fermented in separate stainless-steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The fruit underwent a period of cold maceration prior to fermentation to help extract tannins and aromatics. Post-fermentation, the wine was then pressed off the skins before undergoing malolactic fermentation. The wine was aged for seven months, 20% in French and American oak barrels, and blended before bottling.
This bold yet refined red wine offers a beautifully aromatic experience with a lush, deep red fruit perfume. On the palate, it is well-rounded with sumptuous soft fruit flavours, complemented by ripe tannins for a long finish.
Serve at 16-18°C; decanting for 30 minutes will enhance its fruit and complexity.
