Vigneti del Vulture, `Pipoli` Aglianico del Vulture from Aglianico del Vulture, Italy, is a still, dry red wine crafted from 100% Aglianico grapes. Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel and aged partly in used oak barriques, this wine offers intense aromas of cherry and sour black cherry. On the palate, it is full-bodied with a sweet red fruit character, complemented by delicate oak nuances of vanilla and spice, leading to a long, elegant finish. Its distinctive minerality and vibrant acidity reflect the volcanic soils of Mount Vulture. This versatile wine pairs beautifully with rich beef dishes, lamb, or mature hard cheeses.

On arrival at the winery, the grapes were destemmed and gently crushed, then the must was fermented in temperature-controlled, stainless-steel tanks at temperatures of 22-24°C. Frequent and gentle pumping over took place during fermentation, which lasted approximately 30 days. The wine was then aged in stainless-steel tanks (60%) and in used oak barriques (40%) for 10 months. Finally, it was aged in bottle for a further three months before release.
This full-bodied red wine offers an intense aromatic experience, showcasing vibrant cherry and sour black cherry notes on the nose. The palate reveals a sweet red fruit character, beautifully complemented by delicate oak nuances of vanilla and baking spices, leading to an elegant and balanced finish.
Serve at 16-18°C, decanting for an hour to allow its complex aromas to unfold.
