Massolino Dolcetto d'Alba from Alba, Italy, is a bright Red Still Dry wine crafted from 100% Dolcetto grapes. Fermented in stainless steel and aged briefly in stainless steel and cement tanks, this wine perfectly expresses its varietal character. It presents a bright ruby-red hue with fresh, fruity red berry aromas on the nose. The palate unfolds with a multitude of red cherry and berry flavours, beautifully balanced by a refreshing acidity that leads to a long, persistent finish. This versatile wine pairs wonderfully with a variety of lighter dishes.
75.0CL , 13.5% ABV
Grapes were hand harvested and selected in the vineyards. They were then crushed and fermented in temperature controlled stainless-steel tanks at temperature of 27-29°C for a period of seven to nine days. Malolactic fermentation followed naturally in the same tanks. The wine is then aged for a short period of time in stainless-steel and cement tanks. After four months in the bottle, the wine is released.
This bright ruby-red Dolcetto offers a fresh, fruity and elegant experience. Expect vibrant red berry aromas on the nose, leading to a palate rich with red cherries and berries, all balanced by a refreshing acidity that extends through a long, persistent finish.
Serve at 12-14°C to best enjoy its bright fruit character. Decanting is not typically required.
