Mandrarossa Urra di Mare from Sicily, Italy, is a vibrant still white wine. This dry Sauvignon Blanc is straw-yellow with bright golden reflections. Crafted from hand-harvested grapes and fermented in stainless steel, it is aged for four months to preserve its fresh character. The nose offers intense aromas of citrus fruit, peach, apricot, with subtle mint and basil hints. The palate delivers ripe fruit flavours beautifully balanced by a refreshing minerality, leading to a fresh, structured finish with good length. It makes an excellent companion to lean fish, shellfish, or poultry.
75.0CL , 12.5% ABV
The grapes were hand harvested in the second week of August. After being crushed and destemmed, the must was immediately cooled to 5-8°C and maintained at these temperatures for four to six hours. Fermentation took place in stainless-steel tanks for 15-20 days at controlled temperatures of 16-18°C. The wine was then aged for four months in stainless steel tanks before bottling and release.
This vibrant white wine offers an aromatic bouquet of intense citrus, ripe peach, and apricot, complemented by subtle hints of mint. On the palate, it delivers a harmonious balance of juicy fruit flavours and a refreshing minerality, culminating in a fresh, structured finish.
Serve chilled at 10-12°C. No decanting required, enjoy fresh.
