Mandrarossa `Bonera` from Sicily, Italy, is a captivating Red (still) wine crafted from a blend of Nero d'Avola and Cabernet Franc grapes. This dry and full-bodied wine undergoes a meticulous vinification process, including 6 months of ageing in oak barriques, which contributes to its complex character. It offers inviting aromas of ripe red fruit, dried prunes and almonds. The palate is well-structured with silky tannins and a persistent finish, making it a superb choice for pairing with roasted meats, rich pasta dishes, or mature cheeses. This wine truly embodies the essence of Sicilian winemaking.

Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes were cold soaked and then fermented for 8-10 days at controlled temperatures between 18°C and 22°C. Post fermentation, the wine was transferred to oak barriques to age for 6 months, followed by a further 3 month ageing period in bottle before release.
This Mandrarossa `Bonera` offers a rich aromatic profile of ripe red fruits, dried prunes, and a hint of almond. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-structured, delivering silky tannins and a long, satisfying finish.
Serve at 16-18°C; decanting for 30 minutes before serving will enhance its complexity.
