Herdade do Peso `Sossego` Alentejano VR, Portugal, is a vibrant Red still dry wine crafted from a blend of Aragonez, Syrah, and Touriga Nacional grapes. The grapes undergo a soft crushing and fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by six months of ageing in stainless steel to preserve its fresh character. This wine offers generous aromas of strawberries and raspberries, leading to a supple and juicy palate showcasing ripe red and black fruit flavours with a subtle spiciness, balanced by elegant tannins and a lovely fresh finish. This vegan and vegetarian friendly wine pairs wonderfully with roasted meats or mature cheeses, making it a versatile choice for many occasions.

Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes were destemmed and underwent a soft crushing. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks, lasting eight days, at a controlled temperature of 26°C. After fermentation, the wine was racked off the skins and aged for around six months in stainless steel. It underwent a light fining and filtration before bottling.
This vibrant red wine offers generous aromas of strawberries and raspberries. On the palate, it is supple and juicy, showcasing ripe red and black fruit flavours with a subtle spiciness, balanced by elegant tannins and a fresh finish.
Serve at 16-18°C. Decanting for 30 minutes before serving will enhance its aromas and flavours.
