Heidi Schröck & Söhne Furmint from Neusiedlersee, Burgenland, Austria is a captivating dry white wine crafted from the sensitive Furmint grape. Undergoing skin maceration and nine months on its fine lees in large acacia casks, it develops a full texture and unique aromatic complexity. This still wine presents a golden yellow colour with aromas of golden apple, quince, delicate chamomile, and hay. The palate is beautifully textured and crisp, leading to a concentrated, mineral-driven finish. It pairs wonderfully with poultry or mild cheeses.
75.0CL , 13.0% ABV
The grapes were hand harvested and quickly transported to the winery to retain freshness. A portion of the fruit was destemmed before being left to macerate overnight. After a long and gentle pressing, the juice was transferred into large Acacia casks for fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Following fermentation, the wine spent 9 months ageing on its fine lees to add texture and complexity.
