Frédéric Berne, Régnié `La Pierre` from Régnié, France, is a vibrant Red, Still and Dry wine crafted from 100% Gamay grapes. This organic and vegan-friendly wine undergoes semi-carbonic maceration and is aged for 12 months in used oak barrels, lending intense purity and concentration. It bursts with ripe red fruit aromas of strawberry and sour cherry, complemented by freshly cracked black pepper. The palate is crunchy and elegant, offering silky tannins and a delicate, fresh finish. A versatile choice, it pairs beautifully with poultry, cured meats, or mild cheeses.

All the grapes were hand harvested. Frédéric follows a policy of minimal intervention in his winemaking and uses only indigenous yeasts in his ferments. The 2023 Régnié 'La Pierre' was made using 100% whole bunch and semi-carbonic maceration with fermentation in stainless-steel tanks lasting for around 15 days. Following fermentation, the wine was aged for 12 months in oak barrels prior to bottling.
This red wine presents a bright ruby hue, offering an aromatic bouquet of ripe red fruits like strawberry and sour cherry, complemented by a hint of freshly cracked black pepper. On the palate, it is crunchy and elegant, showcasing silky tannins and a delicate, fresh finish with intense fruit purity.
Serve lightly chilled at 12-14°C. No decanting required, enjoy fresh.
