Framingham Pinot Noir Marlborough, New Zealand is an elegant Red (still) wine, dry in style, crafted from 100% Pinot Noir grapes. This certified organic wine is blended from several Wairau Valley sites, with parcels hand-picked and vinified separately using indigenous yeasts and aged for 10 months in French oak barriques, 20% new. It offers a complex nose of earthy spice, dark cherry, and raspberry, leading to a rounded palate of red berry compote and plum with savoury and flint notes. Well-integrated tannins provide a balanced structure, making it a versatile pairing for poultry, mushrooms, or mild cheeses.
75.0CL , 13.5% ABV
Each parcel was hand picked and vinified separately with indigenous yeast. Whole bunches (15% overall) were used on a batch by batch basis to add subtle savoury characteristics. After spending an average of 21 days on their skins, each batch was aged for 10 months in French oak barriques, 20% of which were new. After maturation, the selected wines were blended and bottled, unfined and unfiltered.
This elegant Red Pinot Noir offers a complex bouquet of dark cherry, raspberry, and earthy spice, complemented by subtle floral nuances. The palate reveals a rounded profile of red berry compote and plum, with savoury undertones and a hint of flint, all framed by well-integrated tannins.
Serve at 14-16°C; decanting recommended for optimal enjoyment.
