Curatolo Arini Marsala Superiore Dolce from Sicily, Italy, is a delightful sweet fortified white wine crafted from Grillo, Inzolia, and Catarratto grapes. Aged for five years in a blend of Slavonian, French, and American oak, it develops a dark amber hue and a complex bouquet of dried figs, almonds, honey, and vanilla. On the palate, it is round and soft, offering fresh notes of dried fruit, nuts, and honeysuckle, culminating in a pleasant, sweet, and clean finish. This versatile wine is perfect as an aperitif or paired with mature cheeses and desserts. It is also suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
75.0CL , 18.0% ABV
The grapes were destemmed and transferred to stainless-steel tanks for pre-fermentation maceration. Fermentation took place in stainless-steel vats at a controlled temperature of 20-25C° for one week, with frequent délestage. The wine was fermented to dryness and remained in tank for a further seven days on the skins to maximise tannin extraction. The wine was then fortified up to 18%, before it was racked to a mixture of Slavonian casks, French and American oak barriques and tonneaux for maturation, where it remained for five years.
