Clos Venturi `1769` Blanc Corse AOC, from France's Corsica, is a still, dry white wine crafted from 100% Vermentinu grapes. This organic and biodynamic wine undergoes extended skin contact and indigenous yeast fermentation, then spends eight months on its fine lees in stainless steel, lending texture to its character. It opens with a bouquet of orange blossom, ripe peach, and hints of rosemary. The palate is ripe and fruity, balanced by bright acidity and a lingering saline finish. Excellent with lean fish or appetizers. Vegetarian.
75.0CL , 12.5% ABV
The grapes were harvested by hand allowing for attentive selection in the vineyard. After being destemmed and gently crushed, the grapes went through several hours of skin contact to maximise flavour extraction. The must underwent fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maturation in neutral temperature-controlled tanks to preserve the fresh primary character. Following lees ageing, with stirring for added texture, the wine was bottled without fining and with minimal filtration.
This dry white wine offers a delightful bouquet of orange blossom, ripe peach, and subtle rosemary. The palate is ripe and fruity, beautifully balanced by bright acidity and a lingering saline finish, with added texture from lees ageing.
