Château Fontarèche Vieilles Vignes Rouge Corbières AOC, France, is a dry, still Red wine crafted from old vine Carignan, Syrah, Grenache, and Marselan. The Carignan and Grenache Noir undergo carbonic maceration, while Syrah and Marselan are destemmed, gently crushed, and fermented in stainless steel at 28°C for 14 days. This inky, fragrant wine reveals pure blackberry fruit, sweet spices, and a fresh herbal finish. Its juicy, full-bodied palate and remarkable tannic structure make it an excellent match for roasted meats or mature cheeses.
75.0CL , 14.0% ABV
The Syrah and Marselan grapes were destemmed and gently crushed. Fermentation took place at a controlled temperature of 28°C for 14 days, with regular punch downs to extract colour and tannins. The Carignan and Grenache Noir remained as whole bunches and was fed into vats to undergo fermentation by carbonic maceration for 9 days, at a maximum temperature of 30°C. Following fermentation, all portions underwent a gentle fining and filtering before being blended and bottled.
This inky red wine offers fragrant aromas of black fruits and sweet spices, leading to a juicy, full-bodied palate. Expect pure blackberry fruit, bright spicy characters, and a refreshing herbal finish, all supported by remarkable tannic structure.
Serve at 12-14°C. Decant for 30 minutes before serving to enhance its rich fruit and spice.
