Bodega Garzón Reserve, Tannat from Maldonado, Uruguay is a still, dry Red wine crafted from 100% Tannat grapes. This intense and juicy wine undergoes fermentation in cement tanks and ages on lees for 6-12 months in large untoasted French oak casks, preserving its pure expression. It reveals aromas of black plum, juicy blackberry, and a hint of spices, leading to a full-bodied palate with ripe tannins and a lingering freshness. A versatile choice, it pairs beautifully with rich red meats or mature cheeses. This wine is also suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
75.0CL , 14.0% ABV
The hand-harvested grapes were macerated on their skins for five days before fermentation in large 150-hectolitre cement tanks took place at 26-28°C for one week, with twice daily pump overs. The wine was then aged on lees for 6-12 months in 50-hectolitre, untoasted French oak casks prior to bottling.
This intense and juicy Red wine offers a captivating bouquet of black plum, juicy blackberry, and a hint of spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied with an elegant structure, complemented by ripe tannins and a lingering freshness.
Serve at 16-18°C, decant for an hour to allow its robust character to unfold.
