Amalaya `Gran Corte` Calchaquí Valley, Salta, Argentina is a captivating Red still dry wine, a testament to the unique high-altitude terroir of the Calchaquí Valley. Crafted from a blend of Malbec, Cabernet Franc, and Tannat, this concentrated, fruit-forward wine undergoes 12 months of ageing in French and American oak barrels, imparting elegant vanilla notes. It reveals vibrant red fruit and blackberry aromas, leading to a palate with supple, rounded tannins and a long, delicate finish. This exceptional wine offers incredible value and truly reflects its sense of place, pairing beautifully with roasted lamb, beef, or mature hard cheeses.

The grapes were hand picked and crushed after careful selection at the winery, followed by a cooling to 8°C with a maceration period at 10°C for three days. Alcoholic fermentation took place at a temperature of around 24°C in small concrete tanks. Malolactic fermentation and ageing took place in both American and French oak barrels of which 20% was new and 80% second use. The wine was aged for a total of 12 months in barrel before bottling.
This concentrated, fruit-forward red wine offers a vibrant bouquet of red fruit and blackberries, complemented by soft vanilla notes from oak aging. On the palate, it reveals a rich character with supple, rounded tannins and a long, delicate finish.
Serve at 16-18°C, decanting for 30 minutes will enhance its vibrant fruit character.
